is an innovative tactile path with TAG RFG, technology-based RFID (Radio-Frequency IDentification). The tactile path is integrated in the path with different elements:
It is composed of six overall codes: straight direction, stop danger, crossing, L-turn, attention service and passable danger.
Loges LVE stems from the collaboration of Italian blind union and visually impaired U.I.C.I. ONLUS and visually impaired association A.D.V. ONLUS and in cooperation with JRC, institute at European Commission and Rome University “La Sapienza”. The particular innovation of this system consists in supplying to persons with visual disability, information as well tactile as vocal ones, in the structures where the service has been activated. Based on the combined provision of law article 2.A.c) of Ministerial Decree D.M. 236/1989 and article 4.3 of United Nations Convention of disability people’s rights, the national trade associations have established that “the system and language of tactile-vocal signals "LOGES-VET-EVOLUTION” (LVE), exclusively equipped with Transponder RFG, is the one actually able to satisfy completely the needs of autonomous mobility of the persons with visual disability”. The missing of TAG or the use of not suitable TAG deprive the work of “recognizability of places” requirement, prescribed by article 2.A.c) of Ministerial Decree 236/1989 and thus impede the passing of sense-perceptive architectural barriers.
Plantar tactile path with equidistant trapezoidal or hemispherical reliefs; with relief height not less than 3 mm and width according to list 3 - “WT6” of CEN/TS 15209; with a distance among reliefs according to list 1 - “S9” of standard CEN/TS 1520 manufactured in vibro compressed concrete integrated with TAG - RFG 134.2 Khz suitable for the realization of intelligent paths.
The single tactile elements have 30x40 cm dimension with a thickness of mm 50 or mm 33; changeable surface colouring designed to obtain a luminance contrast coefficient not less than 0,4 with the surrounding paving. The physical-mechanical characteristics of tactile elements are such as to make the same non-slip and anti-freeze. The artefacts are made up of two layers, the superior one or noble layer, of changeable thickness from 10 mm to 20 mm in relation to the dimension of the artefact, is composed of a cement Portland R42.5 mixture, chippings of natural stone with a 3-5 mm granulometry, limestone sands and inorganic oxides Bayer for giving the required colouring to the surface; while the lower layer or substrate layer is composed of a semi-humid cement Portland R42.5 mixture, selected aggregate quarries with 3-6 mm granulometry, calcareous and porphyritic sands. The characteristics and production controls are corresponding to the requirements set out in standard UNI EN 1339.
